South African Dance Teachers’ Association

The South African Dance Teachers Association (SADTA) is a non-profit organization, established in 1935 in South Africa and is affiliated with the World Dance Council. Our aim is to qualify teachers and help them improve their dance teaching skills. For more than 80 years we have provided training for dance teachers and examiners, enabling teachers to enter their students for examinations and competitions as well as running many successful championships in a variety of dance styles.

If you are a Qualified member or an Affiliate of the SADTA and would like to have access to Members section and Members only content please register.

Once you have competed the registration, your application will go under review.

Once approved you will receive notification immediately and have all access to Membership Profiles and Members only content.

Studio Directory

If you are a Qualified member or an Affiliate of the SADTA and would like to make use of the Studio Directory please use the same registration form provided and fill in the details a s requested

  • Studio profiles not created by the principle or owner will be rejected!
  • Members who are affiliated to the SADTA may register provided that they hold a qualification.

Once you have competed the registration, your application will go under review.

Once approved you will receive notification immediately and can start editing your Studio Profile

Approved studios will have all access to Membership Profiles and Members only content.

FADR – Amateur Dance Registration
The FADR is an amateur registration site dedicated to offering all amateur and professional competitors access to Registration forms and Competition entry forms for all Freestyle, Disco Dance, Ballroom and Latin competitions hosted by both the SADTA and Private Promoter competitions, held throughout South Africa in the calendar year.
